Knowing Cyber Security today is a must! Every time I look in the news, I always hear about hackers trying to break into someones account, whether it be a personal account, corporate account, or government account.
Hackers main goals are to try and steal valuable information from you that will cost you big time. This information is usually data that is financial in nature or your identity.
One big way that your information is able to get stolen is through a hacking technique called e-mail spoofing. This is a fraudulent email attempt in order to trick someone in giving up their valuable information that I described above. Most people are fooled by these attacks!
In order to mitigate these hacker attempts, all users of computers and internet should become efficient with cyber awareness!
Cyber awareness is where people and organizations know exactly what is happening behind the magic that goes on with your computer and internet. It is understanding the fundamentals on how this type of technology works in our world today. It is being able to spot a hacking attack from a mile away. It is a beneficial way to live in our internet centered world.
